Organic Lifestyle
We have an organic attitude of sorts, but we do not go out of our way to be organic or alternative, rather, we do what suits us at the time
Example of Lifestyle (English)
We live in a very special place. It is not the city nor the suburb, and neither the countryside. We are located in an island of nature with rice fields, vegetables fields and bamboo forest, surrounded by the city. Because of that we cater for many many people living in the surrounding areas who are looking for a relaxed time in nature. We offer rice cultivation programs, traditional japanese handcraft workshops such as bamboo weaving, plant-based fabric dyeing, thread spinning, broom making, yoga classes, acupuncture or sport massage sessions, and more. We also make miso paste, pickled plum, soy sauce, natto, plum juice, shiso juice, and lot more . Also, we organize traditional things such as mochi-tsuki, nagashi soumen or bambooshoot digging according to the season.
We also involved in promoting the local area by creating a local brand using local fruits and vegetables to make preserved products and condiments. We have a shop where we sell local rice, fruits and vegetables, as well as local craft products and our own products. We also offer take out drinks and food. We also held on a monthly market
Everyday is different, sometimes very quiet, and sometimes with many people around.
People here love nature, favor local fruits and vegetables, products with no food additives, as well as the opportunities the area offers for escaping the city.
Here people don't watch TV, don't smoke, and drink alcohol when there is a special event. We don't go to fast food and don't buy processed food. We cook ourselves and buy products from the local farmers or the nearby supermarket.
We don't eat much sea products, rather meat products. We also sometimes go to local restaurants.
